Studio Wabi Sabi Thailand issues another warning against individuals spreading false information about its artist. This time, the unpleasant incident drags the name of one actor from the agency, namely Boun Noppanut.
It all started with a tweet from an account X with the username @ko46448, who uploaded a photo of Boun attending 'The EMsphere Grand Opening | The Overture of EM District' event on December 1st. In the tweet, the account stated, "People, Boun isn't in a state of euphoria from what is happening.He's either high on drugs or recovering from a state of drug intoxication.Please pay your attention! We have to do something! Urgently!"
This tweet was followed by other account Xs, namely @sta25214, @evil8649930859, and @orbdiy. These accounts periodically wrote and circulated opinions, suggesting that Boun has consumed drugs and other substances.
These tweets immediately drew criticism from Boun's fans. They demanded the accounts delete their posts and stop spreading fake news. Fans also began reporting this to the company.
"@ko46448 If no one tells you where trash belongs, I'll tell you it belongs in the trash." - wrote one fan.
"Don't spread information without clear evidence!" wrote another fan.
"I also believe that @wabisabiTH should react to certain accounts (@.ko46448) spreading fake tweets and defaming the artist. For fans like us, we can ignore such things, but for the company, you need to do something. It's completely wrong and tarnishes the reputation." wrote another fan.
Finally, Studio Wabi Sabi released an official statement stating that Boun Noppanut has never been involved in any type of drug. The company also warned the individuals to stop their actions and will take further legal action if not stopped immediately.
After the company's warning, three out of four accounts have disappeared. However, fans hope the company will take stronger action on this issue, fearing that the fake news may affect Boun's future career.
"We hope Studio Wabi Sabi will take decisive action against these individuals. It's crucial to prevent others from daring to spread false news," said one of Boun's fans on X.
Studio Wabi Sabi has not provided further information regarding the legal action it will take.
